Overview
Work Item Twins ("the Extension") is developed and maintained by Innova Apps. This privacy policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Azure DevOps extension.
Key Point: Your work item data stays within Azure DevOps. We do not store or transmit your work item content to external servers. Twin configurations are stored securely in Azure DevOps Data Storage, accessible only within your organization.
Information We Collect
Data Accessed Within Azure DevOps
The Extension accesses the following data within your Azure DevOps environment to provide its functionality:
- Work Item Data: Work item fields, values, and metadata to enable synchronization between twin work items
- Project Information: Project names and IDs to enable cross-project functionality
- User Identity: User display names and IDs for audit and display purposes
Data We Store
- Extension Settings: Your configuration preferences for field synchronization and exclusions (stored in Azure DevOps Data Storage)
- Subscription Information: Organization name and subscription status for licensing purposes
- Usage Metrics: Anonymous usage statistics to improve the Extension
How We Use Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide and maintain the Extension's functionality
- Process and manage your subscription
- Improve and optimize the Extension
- Provide customer support
Data Storage and Security
- All Extension settings are stored within your Azure DevOps organization using the Azure DevOps Extension Data Storage API
- Subscription data is stored securely in our cloud infrastructure (Firebase/Google Cloud)
- We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data
- We do not sell, trade, or transfer your data to third parties
Data Retention
- Extension settings remain in your Azure DevOps organization until you uninstall the Extension
- Subscription data is retained for the duration of your subscription plus any legally required retention period
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data stored by the Extension
- Request deletion of your data
- Opt out of anonymous usage statistics
Third-Party Services
The Extension uses the following third-party services:
- Stripe: For payment processing — Stripe Privacy Policy
- Firebase/Google Cloud: For backend services — Google Privacy Policy
- Sentry: For error tracking and monitoring — Sentry Privacy Policy
Azure DevOps Scopes
The Extension requests the following Azure DevOps scopes:
- vso.work_write: Read and write work items
- vso.project: Read project information
- vso.identity: Read user identities
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date.
